This Privacy Policy describes how Solar Recourse ("Solar Recourse," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit solarrecourse.com (the "Site") or fill out a form on the Site. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Who We Are
Solar Recourse operates an online intake service that connects homeowners who may have legal issues with their solar contracts to attorneys in our partner network. We are not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information that you give us directly and information that is gathered automatically when you visit the Site.
Information you provide

- Any other details you share when communicating with us by phone, text, or email
Information gathered automatically
- Your IP address, browser type, device information, and operating system
- Pages you view, links you click, and time spent on the Site
- Referring URL and the search terms or ads that brought you here
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies used for analytics and ad measurement
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:

- Detect and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
4. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only as described below.
With partner attorneys
If your responses suggest your case may be a fit, we share your contact information and quiz answers with one or more attorneys in our partner network so they can review your situation and reach out to you. Those attorneys are independent from Solar Recourse and have their own privacy practices.
With service providers
We use third-party vendors to host the Site, deliver email and SMS, store leads, analyze traffic, and run advertising. These vendors only receive the information they need to perform their work for us, and they are not allowed to use your information for their own marketing.
For legal reasons
We may disclose information when required by law, court order, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Solar Recourse, our users, or others.
In a business transfer
If Solar Recourse is sold, merged, or reorganized, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your information to unrelated third parties for their own marketing.
5. SMS and Phone Communications
When you submit the form on our Site, you provide express written consent to be contacted by Solar Recourse and its partner attorneys at the phone number you provided. This includes calls and SMS text messages, which may use automatic dialing systems or pre-recorded or artificial voice messages. Your consent applies even if your number is on a federal, state, or corporate Do Not Call registry. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or service. Message and data rates may apply.
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. You can opt out of marketing calls by telling the caller you no longer wish to be contacted, or by emailing us at privacy@solarrecourse.com.
6. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site working, remember preferences, measure traffic, and evaluate the performance of our advertising. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through your settings. Blocking cookies may affect how the Site works.
7. How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When we no longer need your information, we delete or anonymize it.
8. Your Choices

9. California Residents
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell your information for money, but some of our online advertising activities may qualify as "sharing" under California law. To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@solarrecourse.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
10. Other State Privacy Rights
Residents of certain other states, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and others with comprehensive privacy laws, may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain uses of their personal information. To exercise these rights, email us at the address above.
